The 'Blue Danube' Hydrangea is compact and heavy flowering.  It is a favorite for containers because of its compact size.  The mophead hydrangea bears lots of deep violet blue to violet, pink blooms in early to late summer.  Flower color varies depending on the PH of the soil Alkaline soils encourage pinker blooms while acidic soil encourages bluer blooms.  

• This beauty is the darkest of blue in acidic soil and deep pink in neutral pH
