Two of my favorite activities are gardening and cooking, so when I can combine these activities, I am happier for it.

Growing edible plants is deeply satisfying. Knowing where they came from, what went into them, and that pests and disease were dealt with in the most natural way, is extra satisfying. There is love in growing all plants, but when you can harvest them and include them in a meal that you serve to your loved ones, well that takes it to a whole new level.

One recipe that I prepare often, to my family’s delight, is spaghetti. I am going to share my recipe, which includes an abundance of homegrown harvest, with you today in hopes that your loved ones will appreciate it as much as my loved ones do. Like me, you might revel in the goodness of knowing you have fed them with love, wholesomeness, and health. Enjoy!

Instructions:

If the sauce has thickened a bit too much, stir in a scoop of water from your noodle pot; the starch will lend a silkiness to your sauce.

Serve over buttered noodles sprinkled with fresh chopped parsley. Prepare yourself for the oohs and ahs!
