We know that not every purchase works out. Al's return policy and plant guarantee are here to give you peace of mind when shopping with us!
Items must be returned within 14 days of purchase accompanied by the itemized receipt.
Merchandise must be returned in the same condition it is purchased, including tags. All sales of clearance itemsare final.
All holiday items are non-returnable after their respective holiday dates.
Patio furniture returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee.
Winter hardy perennials, trees, and shrubs are guaranteed for one year from purchase date.
Houseplants, annuals, edibles, citrus, and other semi-hardy tropical plants are guaranteed for 30 days.
If your plant dies within our guarantee we offer a one-time plant replacement, if the plant is not available in our store we will provide a store credit.
We reserve the right to revoke our guarantee in the case of intentional misuse.

Al’s does offer delivery services. Price of delivery is calculated based on delivery location. Please contact your local store to find out more about delivery prices.
Some deliveries are performed by a third-party.
We do sell bulk soil both online and in our Sherood and Woodburn store locations. We offer delivery ofbulk soil with a minimum of 3 yards and a maximum of 7 yards. Delivery fees are based on destination.
You will receive 1 Color Dollar for every 10 dollars that you spend. Color dollars are redeemed during special periods. During color dollar redemption periods you can use your color dollars to pay for up to 50% of your plant purchases. For example, if you purchased $20 in plants you could use up to 10 color dollars to pay for your order.
Yes! To inquire about a special order please stop by or call your preferred Al’s location and they can help provide information about plant availability and pricing.
Some plants are not always available or may require a longer wait-time. If you have a special project, we suggest that you inquire about a special- order as early as possible so that our team can source or set aside your desired plants. The easiest way to place a special order is to contact our sales specialist at sherwoodsales@als-gardencenter.com.
Yes, we do. Our planting fee is $2 per inch of the diameter of the mouth of the container. Bring in your containers from home or purchase a container from our beautiful selection of pottery. Then pick out your plants or ask a purple person for advice and we can help you find the right fit for your container. Custom container plantings can take time to finish so we often ask that our customers pickup their container the day after the order is placed.
We do sell gift cards and they are a customer favorite in the Spring and Christmas seasons! Gift cards can be purchased in store or online. All gift cards bought online are shipped via USPS and shipping is free.
Treat gift cards like cash. We do not refund or replace lost or stolen gift cards.
Yes! Please bring in a photo or a sample with leaves, flowers, or fruit.
We can save items for customers for the business day, but we cannot guarantee to hold certain items if they are on sale/clearance. We understand that some items may be difficult to transport and require some planning to get them home, so we are happy to hold paid purchases for up to 5 days.
Currently, we do not offer landscaping services. We do have knowledgeable staff that can offer plant suggestions for your landscape.
We love your pets at much as you do!
All dogs must be dog-friendly, adult friendly and child friendly.
All dogs must be on a 6-foot or shorter leash.
For safety reasons, retractable leashes are not permitted.
Dog owners/handlers must pick up and dispose of their dogs' waste.
Al's Garden & Home reserves the right to evict any dog and its owner from the premises.
By bringing pets onto the premises, all owners/handlersagree that they will not hold Al's Garden & Home or any associated party responsible for any injury or incident that may occur.
Al’s does not offer recycling services, but many household recycling services will accept 4” and larger nursery pots. Please inquire with your local recycling service to determine if they will accept your plant pots.

All orders are fulfilled within 48 hours of purchase. If your order can not be filled within that time frame an Al’s representative will call you to update you on the status of your order.
When your order is ready to be picked up we will send you an e-mail. Your order will not be fulfilled prior to receiving this email notification. We will only hold orders for 7 days from the date that you are emailed that the order is ready.
We reserve the right to cancel orders that are not picked up after 7 days.
Currently, we are only offering pick up at our Woodburn and Sherwood locations. You can choose your pickup location during checkout. We hope to offer online pick up at all 4 of our locations in the future.
We do deliver locally from our online site. Al’s deliveries are performed by a third party. Delivery fees are based on the destination and the size of the order.

Since we are working with live and rotating stock we sometimes sell out of items before we can fill an order. In most cases we will recommend a replacement. There are some instances where we cannot fill an order and it will be canceled. An Al’s Representative will contact you if your order needs to be canceled or revised.

Yes, you can use all these discounts toward your online order. However, since our online store is not yet integrated into our point-of-sale system these tenders are applied after the items are picked up.
Please place your order at full price and put a note at check out that you will be using a Gift Card, Color Dollars (during special redemption periods) or Garden Rewards Member Discount (during special redemption periods)
When you arrive at the store to pick up your order give your gift card or Color Dollars to the Al’s associate. We will then apply a credit back to your credit card. (Color Dollars can be redeemed for up to 50% off your plant purchase)
To receive Garden Rewards Member discounts, you do not need to bring anything at pick up. We will credit your credit card after you have picked up your order.
